Chicken Pie This is a popular Nigerian snack. This easy homemade chicken pie is the ultimate cozy comfort food. Ingredients 1.5kg chicken100g streaky bacon 100g sliced button mushrooms1 chopped onions250ml chicken stockChopped parsley 1 chopped boiled egg200g puff pastry (meat pie dough) Salt and pepper Directions Cut the chicken, remove the bone and cut into piecesSeason lightly with salt and pepper (I use habanero pepper)Wrap each piece in very thin streaky bacon and place in a pie dishAdd the washed sliced mushrooms and remainder of ingredients, except the pastryAdd sufficient cold stock to barely cover the chickenCover with puff pastry (you can use the meat pie dough) and allow to rest in a refrigeratorEgg wash and bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes (I bake till the top is brown)Reduce the heat to 160-180 degrees and continue to cook for 1 hour (yes it can take a while)
