To empower the marginalized in our community, give voice to the voiceless, and hope to the despondent.
We believe with dedication, diligence, and determination we hope to empower everyone in health, finance and education.
Extraordinary Experiences
The following are the drives of our vision:
4 in 10 Canadian women have minimal knowledge in financial literacy, with at least 9 in 10 struggling to effectively manage personal finances. TCLI foundation seeks to empower women with financial knowledge and financial independence.
Immigrants and newcomers experience significant challenges with transitioning into a new life in Canada, as well as barriers to adapting within their new environment, which can sometimes result in debts, hardship, and poor mental health. TCLI seeks to empower these groups and gear them towards settlement and financial stability.
Student loans also make up a significant part of Canadians’ debt burden, and many do not have the knowledge and skills for managing and planning their finances post education. TCLI is invested in aiding individuals work towards reducing debt and developing a plan for financial independence. Currently, TCLI has a financial and reading planner for kids, to view them click here.
Despite Canada’s high-ranking level of education with free education up to high school, motivation to take up education can be low, made worse by a lack of guidance and adequate support towards making informed career choices. We are interested in promoting a reading and writing culture using arts, literature, and culture to motivate and support the uptake of educational opportunities.
With good health, life goals are achievable. Hence, we are constantly seeking ways to foster a balanced physical and mental health and wellness for individuals and families.
We Can Help
We strive to provide a supportive and enabling community for newcomers and visible minority families. Through our mentoring opportunities, workshops, training and bootcamp programs, we hope we can help them towards financial freedom, self empowerment, and career development.
